Harry P. Braunstein, Esq.

Harry Braunstein, a Partner in the Firm, was admitted to the New York and Federal bar in 1975. He practiced with the Wall Street law Firm Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C. for over twenty years, ultimately becoming head of its real estate group before leaving and establishing his own Firm. Mr. Braunstein currently has an active commercial law practice, which specializes in transactional real estate, commercial lending, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, and franchise law.

For over 35 years Mr. Braunstein has gained experience not only as an attorney but as a business and real estate principal. This varied experience serves every client of the Firm in a practical and comprehensive way. For many years, Mr. Braunstein has represented several commercial and savings banks in the New York metropolitan area. He also has served on the board of directors and loan committee for one of his bank clients for over 20 years ultimately becoming Chairman of the Board. He is expertly versed in loan underwriting issues and has a thorough understanding of commercial real estate and C&I loans and the market fundamentals that drive valuation and commercial lending.

Over the years, Mr. Braunstein has also represented owners of retail and commercial real estate in the Tri-State area in complex acquisitions, re-financings, leasing, and sales. He and members of the Firm act as Counsel on numerous matters in the United States for a London based owner of US Commercial real estate assets valued well in excess of $1 Billion. In addition, Mr. Braunstein also acts as general counsel to a multi-unit franchise group that owns over 40 restaurants in three different franchise systems in the New York metropolitan area. His business experience includes formation, structuring and raising capital for numerous different companies, review and negotiation of all relevant legal documents, long-term subordinated and unsubordinated leases, and numerous leasehold, fee and/or business financing issues.
